Adolescence Health Behavior

Adolescence is a pivotal developmental window where health behaviors are established for life, yet in Pakistan, this transition is often challenged by a significant “communication gap.” Cultural taboos and a lack of accurate information frequently led to risky decision-making, nutritional deficiencies, and emotional distress among youth. WEG addresses these challenges through Life Skills-Based Education (LSBE) and Behavior Change Communication (BCC), empowering young people with the essential knowledge to navigate puberty, hygiene, and mental well-being with confidence and clarity.

Our holistic approach extends beyond the individual to include the surrounding support system, training teachers, parents, and religious scholars to serve as empathetic mentors. By advocating for youth-friendly health services and dismantling the gender stereotypes that hinder health-seeking behaviors, we ensure that the next generation has the supportive environment necessary to build a foundation of lifelong resilience. This comprehensive strategy not only improves immediate health outcomes but also secures the long-term social and economic prosperity of the nation.
