Workplace harassment is a systemic barrier to women’s economic empowerment, manifesting through a spectrum of behaviors from subtle marginalization to overt physical and verbal abuse. Such environments not only compromise the mental and physical well-being of employees but also lead to high attrition rates and a significant loss of human capital for the national economy. WEG addresses this through high-level legislative advocacy and organizational capacity building, having played a key role in the introduction of the “Protection of Women against Workplace Harassment Bill”. By training public sector institutions, private organizations, and law enforcement on gender-responsive grievance mechanisms, we are transforming professional spaces into environments of dignity and safety. Our goal is to ensure that every woman can pursue her career without fear, backed by a legal framework that holds perpetrators accountable and fosters a culture of mutual respect.
