Challenging Internship Opportunity
Women’s Empowerment Group, a national NGO specializing in advocacy and campaigning, aims to improve the quality of the life of womenfolk by creating awareness among masses and sensitizing policy makers towards women’s issues for empowering them with equal opportunities.
WEG is committed to creating a training and development environment, and to providing for its specific staffing needs on a long-term basis.
The objectives of the Intern Policy are,
(a) Provide a framework of guidelines, norms and standards, which will allow the WEG to create opportunities for students / fresh graduates to receive in-service training and gain practical work experience;
(b) Meet the challenges of capacity building in the NGO sector; and
(c) Create awareness within the private and educational sector as to the manner in which the social development sector functions.
(a) Interns should be tertiary education students or recent graduates. They should be Pakistan citizens, and preferably from the disadvantaged groups. WEG should promote diversity in aspects and prefer to provide an opportunity for the class that is ignored from playing a role in the social fabric of our society.
(b) With the approval of the CEO, students can be accepted onto the WEG’s Internship Program. The Head of Department assigned must set the period of the Internship Program and Internship Learning Contract.
(c) Candidates must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement, before they are admitted to the program.
